Well this month went by fast. I had some good reading, good walking, time fiddling with my plants which did not freeze to death this month....and yesterday was my granddaughter's 12th birthday. That time flew! I can still remember Doug and I leaving work to drive to Ft. Stewart in Georgia for her birth. She is as tall as I am now.
Here's the February breakdown.........
Watched........ 📺
This month we watched a variety of genres. We finished season 2 of Fallout (SciFi based on a game our son was pumped about) season 2 of Patriot starring Terry O'Quinn and Michael Dorman (quirky) and just started a second season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Very much looking forward to Shrinking and For All Mankind.
📚 Read 📚
I had a good month of reading. Some books I loved and others were just meh...but I read quite a bit. Reviews may be found by clicking on the title links.

I also read Agnes Grey this month. Clicking over to see your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I appreciate your comment on Goodreads!
DeleteHappy birthday to your granddaughter! It's amazing how quickly kids grow. My forehead is level with the tip of Will's nose right now and I swear the child is a little taller every time I look at him. I haven't watched Fallout but both Will and Jason have and enjoyed it. Will's actually played Fallout but apparently they are only loosely connected. I was busy with audiobooks because I wanted to finish a series so I could cancel my Audible account. They got rid of pretty much all the books I wanted to listen to on Audible Plus and I don't love how prevalent the AI voice thing is.
ReplyDeleteKatherine, wow...Will is that tall now? I hope Will and Jason are enjoiying the game Fallout. We don't play but our son does, loves it.
DeleteThat's too bad about the audible, especially if you like that book format. The AI being interjected into everything is bad, in my opinion.
Yay for pens that you can love!
ReplyDeleteJoy, they are beauties and I enjoy writing with them.
DeleteI am so glad you love your new pen! And Happy Birthday to your granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteErin, I tend to over analyze a purchase and it took me weeks to decide on THIS pen. But I made a good choice. Thank you for the birthday wishes for the granddaughter. Happy birthday to Wyatt!
DeleteThat is a gorgeous new pen. I'm envious!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your granddaughter. It's odd how fast time flies these days. My granddaughter, Annie, is ten, and she's up to my shoulder.
I wonder what you are going to read next.
Deb, you can't go wrong with Crown and Regent for a rollerball. Thans for the birthday wishes. I can;t ebleiev how tall Liz is now. I am short, not Hobbit short, but her parents are both tall so I now next year she will be bigger than me. ha!
DeleteNext books are Lost Gardens of the World and I think a biddy read with Les with The Likeness by Tana French.
I feel like I really know so little about pens even though I love them so much. I will add a Crown and Regent rollerball to my wishlist and maybe some day my husband will indulge me (or I'll indulge myself!)
DeleteLetter on the way!
DeleteGorgeous pens... what a wonderful treat! Happy birthday to your granddaughter. Twelve years goes so fast... next celebration she'll be a teenager.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, thank you...I dithered quite a while to decide on my writing instrument addiction, haha. Twelve years do indeed go by fast....I couldn't believe the change in her appearance in the last photo Tristan sent me.
DeleteWe were at Toyota getting the car serviced and someone asked us how long Doug and I have been together. When he answered 45 years it I realized how very fast that time went. Zoom...
Wow that's great it was her 12th bday! She's growing up quickly and already as tall as you. I hope you had fun giving her the happy bday wishes. And those pens look great! I like when they just glide but give a dark blue imprint. Sometimes I like felt pens for that reason but ball point pens have a nice look too. Looking forward to our next buddy read.
ReplyDeleteSusan, time is flying by and faster than I imagined since we retired. Whoosh...another month passes! Oh, the pens are great and I plan to settle in and write letters today or tomorrow. Still awaiting Tana French's agent/literary agent to respond with a physical address. I want to write letters, not email.
DeleteI am also looking forward to our buddy read. Working on a nonofcition right now which sends me down other rabbit trails looking things up.
Time does fly, doesn't it? Our granddaughter will be 24 this summer! Unreal.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Shrinking and The Pitt. Just waiting for all episodes to drop. I'm currently watching the last season of The Bear, which is pretty good.
I want to read three of the four books in your collage. I'll skip Agnes Grey. ;)
Oooh, pretty pens. I bought a new package of Sharpie S-Gel 0.7 pens and love them. I used to be a big fan of TUL, but decided to try these Sharpies. Love a good pen!
Les, it's good to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts quite a bit and I know you have a lot going on.
DeleteWe also wait for all episodes of a series to drop because I hate being left hanging. Funny that was the way it was about 30 years ago. You watched an episode and had to wait a week for the next one to air. We just started Night Manager. For whatever reason we stopped affter one episode of season one. So a few nights ago we tried season 2 because i had heard Olivia Colman was amazing and it was Very clear we needed to go back. So...we started season one last night.
Definitely skip Agnes Grey! Let me know about The Likeness as I can't resist the Dublin Murder Squad. Was not a fan o Cal Hooper series and am eager to see what Tana comes up with next.
Your granddaughter is 24...wow. She's a beauty, I saw on your Instagram photos, but I didn't realize she was in her twenties.
Sending a letter soon.
