Monday Mailbox - a plethora of library books

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Vicki at I'd Rather Be At The Beach.  I have been absent in participating because I have been reading from what is on hand.

But - our library now has the extended holiday checkout period of 6 weeks so, I loaded up!  One book arrived in the mail and is a complimentary copy of Cecile Pin's upcoming release Celestial Lights.

Seascraper by Benjamin Wood

Loved One by Aisha Muharrar

Swallow by Natsuo Kirino

Horse by Geraldine Brooks

Also some foodie books.  Hope I can read them all before they are due!

Linking up with Monday Mailbox.

  1. I love my air fryer so I'll look for that book. I have 4 books from the library and hope I get them all read by the time they have to go back. They'll automatically renew until someone else puts them on hold.

    2. Looking forward to your chicken photos!
You can link on MM with a book you already have, I never thought about that until I read this post. I'll change it for next week.

    3. Tina, my air fryer cookbook has a great fried chicken sandwich recipe that we have a couple of times a month. We love it. I'll send you the recipe via snail-mail. :)

  3. Oh, you got some good books from the library! I'm still focusing on my stacks, which never seem to get any smaller since my mom is constantly passing on her books to me. A good problem to have! I've been thinking about buying a copy of Horse, but maybe I should just get it from the library. I have a good Air Fryer cookbook from America's Test Kitchen, but I need to try more recipes. I found a few that I use at least once a month. I love my air fryer and use it in the RV more than our outdoor grill!

    1. Les, I try and get all my books from the library if possible. Saves money and most I won't reread. The air fryer has proven to be a great appliance for us. Coconut shrimp is especially good.

  4. Extended library check out periods is great! My library is in the middle of moving to a new location so I'm excited to see all that will mean. I hope you can finish the books you want to most. I'm curious about the cookbook. My family loves the air fryer!
