Nice list! A Room With a View is one of my favorite books (and films), and Agnes Grey is on my list, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy spinning!
Thank you, Elizabeth. I am fine with my spin pick but I will try and get to Forester afterwards. This is fun!
DeleteI hope you enjoy The Diary of a Young Girl as much as I did. It was memorable visiting this home in Amsterdam decades after I read it because it’s the kind of story that sticks with you.
ReplyDeleteJodie, I think that will be a great book and I agree, it will stick with me for a while. Moving and tragic story.
DeleteDaphne DuMaurier's Scapegoat should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteHarvee, I agree!
DeleteI was too late to figure out my list and get it posted but since I rarely read classics I'm adding some to my list to read soon. I'll be waiting to read your reveiws!
ReplyDeleteVicki, I thought I'd have a hard time listing 50 books for a 5 year goal but it was super fun to make the list. This time the classic spin number landed on book 11 for me!
DeleteI remember loving A Room with a View as a teenager but haven't read it as an adult. I really should. It looks like Anne Frank is your read for this spin. I read it in high school and then read it as an adult. It hit me so hard as an adult. All of these look like interesting choices!
ReplyDeleteKatherine, I am looking forward to the Forester book as I started it quite a while back and somehow ended up putting it aside. My book is Picnice at Hanging Rock for this spin and I started it already.
DeleteIs it true the spin landed on #11? If so, it looks like you'll be reading Picnic at Hanging Rock which I haven't read. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSusan, true it is 11 ! I started it yesterday and so far I like it
DeleteI've never heard of Picnic at Hanging Rock. I see there's an Australian film version of the book, too.
ReplyDeleteYay! I do enjoy these spins! Serendipitous! I hope you like the book.
