  2. Have fun! I'm not a big fan of the Classics. I've read All Quiet on the Western Front, Mrs. Dalloway, The Bell Jar, and The Great Gatsby. Can't say I really enjoyed any of those. Now, throw in a Willa Cather novel or one of John Steinbeck's big books, and I'm in!

    1. Les, it can be anything at least 25 years old so...things like Michener, Lord of the Rings...like that can count. I do have two Steinbeck books on my list. It's a fun way to make a list for 5 year goal.

    2. I've been surprised to read classics I thought I would hate...and I ended up loving!

    1. I keep coming up with more titles besides my original 50 so I've started a draft for the list! Maybe I'll get that Ford book this spin.

  6. I have not heard of most of these. I was going to join The Spin Club, but I don't (to my knowledge) have 50 classics I want to read. So, I just added a page to my blog, called it Classics, and called it a day, LOL!

    1. Cindy, start by going to the Classics Club and making your list. You may be surprised! But you have a good system with your tab of Classics.

  12. Wow I just peeked and the spin is 17! So it appears you are on for The Good Soldier. I don't know anything about it but I hope it makes for a good read. I like others on your list and would be game for the Muriel Spark novel. I still need to read that one.
